Hi everyone! My name is Natalia Guzman (Luna) and I am 29 years young. I grew up in Portland MI and now reside in Lansing MI with my supportive husband Oscar who I have been with for 10 years now, our adorable 4 year old golden doodle Nola and along with photography, I nanny for the sweetest family in my home town. I have always loved taking photos and was the unofficial photographer at any family gathering. My Grandpa Rick (Enrique Luna) was the same way and we would send photos back and forth to each other daily. Not only was he my grandfather, he was my father figure and friend which is why I think it was so easy for me to draw inspiration from him with photography.
The weekend before he unexpectedly passed, we went to breakfast with our family on Sunday morning. I didn’t know this was going to be the last time I spent with my grandpa … especially because we were so close to him walking me down the aisle in October. I went around Portland after to take photos of the infamous “Ice Jam” and he told me I should be a photographer. I told him “maybe one day”… This ended up being one of the last things he said to me in this life and while photography started out as a way of healing after the heartbreak of losing someone so special, I will be forever thankful he left me with that.
Photography is the only thing I have ever truly been passionate about and it has changed my life in the best way. I believe this is exactly where I am suppose to be and I chose to name my business Luna Photography to honor him and always have my maiden name be a big part of who I am forever.
Lastly, I just want to say thank you to everyone who has supported me and continues supporting me by letting me create memories for you. It makes me so happy, I mean SO happy. It’s so much more to me than just “taking photos” and it means so much to me that you are here for my continued photography journey. THANK YOU!
